Snooze Newzzz Letter from the President Holiday greetings! I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year! Hopefully everyone had a happy and safe holiday, and are now looking forward to a productive and prosperous 2005. The time has sure flown since our conference in Sturbridge Massachusetts, and we are already planning our next fall conference. By the time you read this we hopefully will have nailed down a location. Since our last newsletter we have had some changes at the New England Polysomnographic Society. This fall our original president Ray Paquette stepped down as the President of NEPS to focus on new business ventures. We would like to thank Ray for his time and effort over the last few years. This spring NEPS will be looking for new blood (figuratively speaking) on our board. We are looking for energetic individuals who are interested in supporting the future Polysomnographic technology and technologists. Two office positions will be voted in, including the office of Secretary, and President Elect. Positions as "directors at large" may also be sought. The NEPS board meets once a month, often by teleconference, just to touch base and discuss new and old agenda including legislative issues, education opportunities, and other subjects impacting polysomnographers regionally. Board members are also encouraged to become involved in committees including education, membership, legislation, and election. Please consider getting involved in our board if you have the time. At the very least if you are not yet a member please consider joining NEPS as a member. Your very small membership dues help to support our organizations goal of providing polysomnographers in the New England region with opportunites for networking, professional development, and legislative representation. Sincerely, And if you're you interested in being a Snooze Newzzz editor or submitting an announcement or article, get in touch with us via e-mail!
